Introduction
Monarch Jiu Jitsu is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all children participating in our Martial Arts classes. Our safeguarding policies are designed to protect children from harm and provide a safe, nurturing environment where they can develop their skills, confidence, and overall well-being.

Risk Assessment

The Risk Assessment is continuously updated based on reports of incidents and issues related to children. To ensure children are safe and enjoy their time at Monarch Jiu Jitsu, we implement the following procedures:
If a Risk is Identified:
-
Any newly identified risk is reported to the Safeguarding Officer, Zlatoslava Lovett.
-
An Analysis Report of the risk is prepared and discussed with the relevant personnel.
-
Depending on the nature of the risk, a solution is devised to mitigate the potential harm to a child, and the necessary measures are implemented.
-
The Risk Assessment is then updated and circulated to all staff.
Staff Member or a Volunteer Under Investigation:
-
If a staff member or a volunteer is under investigation concerning a child availing of our services, they are immediately removed from all duties involving children.
-
A report on the investigation is prepared and handed over to the Safeguarding Officer for further investigation and resolution.
-
The staff member or a volunteer can only resume duties involving children once the investigation is satisfactorily resolved. If the outcome is unsatisfactory, club will initiate procedures for terminating of contract, and relevant information will be passed to appropriate external organisations.
New Employees or a volunteers:

The recruitment process includes interviews, reference checks, Garda vetting, and immediate participation in a Safeguarding 1 course (in person or via e-learning).
